You Are Loved is dedicated to anyone feeling lost or going through a difficult life situation. I wrote it from the perspective of a friend who tries to hold a compassionate space for the struggles of the other, reminding them that they are supported and loved, no matter how heavy the burden they are carrying might feel. Times of turmoil are often an opportunity for change and growth, but going through them, or witnessing them in a chaotic world can often seem hard to fathom and make us feel hopeless. I hope this song can bring you comfort and warmth. All my love to you.
lyrics
VERSE I
Are you lost where you are right now?
Do you feel caught up and small?
Does your voice seem like a whisper,
In a giant ocean of sound?
Well you have not yet seen your beauty,
and you have not yet seen your light,
will you ever look inside you,
and find that taste of sweet surprise?
CHORUS
'Cause you are loved, you are loved,
you are love, you are light.
You are loved, you are loved,
you are love, you are alive.
VERSE II
I see your doubtful face that questions,
I see your eyes in search for truth,
You set out desperate for an answer,
circling the world until you're through.
BRIDGE
If only you could see what I see,
If only you could see your light,
Would you quit holding on to other's opinions,
and would you fall in love with life?
CHORUS
'Cause you are loved, you are loved,
you are love, you are light.
You are loved, you are loved,
you are love, you are alive.
VERSE III
We often feel homeless,
we often feel like we belong anywhere but here,
Are our voices heard when we call out?
Do spirits help us through the night?
BRIDGE
It's time for us to see our beauty,
it's time for us to see our light,
it's time for us to look inside us,
and find that taste of sweet surprise.
CHORUS
'Cause we are loved, we are loved,
we are love, we are light
We are loved, we are loved,
we are love, we are alive
We are love, we are life,
and it's time for us to live it right.
