Seasons is about the ending of a relationship during the course of a year, through the four seasons. Winter symbolizes the comfort we don’t want to leave and the love that has become dormant. Spring stands for the attempt to reawaken that which has been lost. In Summer all efforts have been burned up. Autumn symbolizes the surrendering, regeneration, and the new directions and possibilities.

We’ve probably all experienced it in one form or another. A relationship or friendship where love has faded, or where we and our closest person have grown apart. We cherish what we have and try to hold on to it, all the while feeling a pull into a new direction that is closer to the person we are becoming. Often this pull can feel so scary that we prefer to stay in that which doesn’t truly feel right anymore, but which has become our comfort.

Love remained, wrapped up safely in our comfort zone,
